Remove retakes automatically
When you say the same line more than once, CueClip finds the repeats and keeps the best take. Review the choices before you export.
What counts as a retake
A retake is a sentence you said, stumbled on, and then said again. CueClip compares the transcript and finds the repeated attempts, then removes the earlier ones and keeps the last, cleanest take.
- Click Remove Retakes in the tools on the right.
- CueClip highlights repeated attempts in the transcript and lists each one in the panel with its time and the words that repeat.
- Click Remove All to cut them, or work through the list one at a time. Dismiss any you want to keep with the ✕.

Make it more reliable: say a cue
If you say a short phrase out loud when you flub a line, CueClip knows exactly where the bad take ends. See Retake cue words.

It missed a retake.
Select the unwanted attempt in the transcript and delete it. For recordings with many retakes, use a spoken cue like “one more time” to mark them.
