Remove filler words (um, uh, like)
Detect and cut um, uh and other filler words from a recording in seconds, and review each cut before you export.
Remove them
- Open your project and click Remove Filler Words in the tools on the right.
- CueClip lists every filler word it finds, with its time and length. Use the dropdown at the top to switch between filler types.
- Click Remove All to cut them all, or the scissors on a single row to cut just that one.
- Play the result. Restore any cut from the Auto Edits panel.

A word is missing or wrong
If the transcript keeps spelling a name or product wrongly, add it to the Transcript Dictionary (Edit → Transcript Dictionary…, ⌘⇧D). Captions then use the right spelling too.
Words that are part of your meaning, like the “like” in “I like this”, should stay. Review the cuts instead of accepting everything blindly.
Questions
Can I remove filler words from a video I did not record in CueClip?
Yes. Import the file and run Remove Filler Words. It works from the transcript, so the source does not matter.
Will it cut words I wanted to keep?
You review every cut, and any one can be restored with a click.
